Installation Technician Description
Founded in 1993, BBH is one of the largest and fastest-growing hospitality technology providers in the country. We are currently looking for motivated individuals to join our team as Install Technician. As an Install Technician, you will work on-site at Client Properties to assist with the installation of technology solutions, including everything in our portfolio from low-voltage cabling to satellite systems at hotels and conference centers across the United States. A fantastic position with lots of opportunity for advancement for the right individual.


The successful candidate for this position will possess the following:
Strong work ethic and time management skills with the ability to work under
minimal supervision
Strong interpersonal skills and a positive demeanor as you will be the face of our
company, both on-site and on the phone
Ability to run and terminate low-voltage cabling (Cat3/5/6, RG6, etc)
A solid understanding of networking principles with the ability to learn on your
feet.
Strong troubleshooting skills and methodology
Domestic air and vehicle travel to job sites required on a weekly basis
Ability to travel 90%+ for the position
Ability to drive a car in-state and out-of-state with a valid driver’s license.


Any professional experience with DIRECTV (or other SATV/CATV) or Mitel (or other PBX) is a big
PLUS but not required.

Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.

Job Description: 

A Network Engineer is responsible for network architecture, configuration, integration and troubleshooting any network hardware or Microsoft Azure cloud virtual network software equipment on a per-project, lab, or support basis. Also responsible for using network monitoring tools to validate configuration and a successful implementation of a project that involves an IP network. Must be able to handle multiple projects at a time. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Be the Subject Matter Expert in IP Network Engineering and Network Security for Broadband Hospitality 
  • Assist the Sales Engineering department with Build of Materials (BOMs) 
  • Assist the Support department as tier 3 escalation for network issues 
  • Be open to the evolution into NetOps and working with DevOps Tools like Terraform/Ansible to provision/configure networks using Infrastructure as Code 
  • Design, implement, and documentation of single and multi-scope networks with network and security best practices: 
  • Scopes that will involve network architecture/engineering/security: 
  • Microsoft Azure Network Infrastructure 
  • Fiber terminations/Ethernet Cabling (Design only) 
  • Internet Scope (WLAN, Routing, Switching, Firewall, Internet Gateway) 
  • Interactive Television (On-Premises Servers/IP Set Top Boxes, MS Azure IAAS that need network architecture/engineering expertise) 
  • White Label iOS/Android Mobile Application (MS Azure IAAS that need network architecture/engineering expertise) 
  • Public Digital Signage (MS Azure IAAS that need network architecture/engineering expertise) 
  • CCTV (NVR and IP Cameras) 
  • VOIP (PBX Server and IP Phones)
